Time flies, right! We,ve been at this for 9 months now. The first guests arrived om April 30 2025 and we have been almost fully booked since then. We didn’t expect to be this busy but are, of course, thrilled! It has been so much fun! We get to have great guests from all over the world and we are so happy they have come here to discover this great city of Stockholm. And we love to make them feel comfortable in our home. We are looking forward to meet Ericka and her travel partner tomorrow. Our very first guests here at Casa Oden! I have loaded up the little fridge with yoghurt, creme cheese and jam and filled up the basket in the window with tea bags and coffee filters. Also, there is a glass jar with granola and an other one with coffee.  I want people to feel taken care of so I include a little breakfast.  The whole summer the room is almost fully booked and me and my husband are very happy to soon meet allt the fun travelers coming...

I’m not gonna lie. It’s a big change. She’s moving out. Our daughter Emma.  We love her to death and love having her around but she’s more than ready! She is moving in with her girlfriend in an adorable, small apartment, by a lake, outside Stockholm. Mike and I are both so happy for them! But what to do with the room? Mike and I certainly don’t need it. But we can certainly use it!  We are going to RENT IT OUT! To any one who is looking for somewhere to sleep when they visit Stockholm for business or pleasure....

Coffee cups and candle … jars. For the guests. I’m having fun shopping for the room! We need special plates and cups and who doesn’t like a candle light at night?  I also bought a bath robe today. For when my guest will walk to and from the shower. I’m thinking that’s a good idea.  Did I say that the room is available from April 15?

On the weekend 12-13 April I will putty all the nail holes in the walls and repaint the room. I will bring down my mother’s old, and so pretty, dresser from the attic and the round rug for the floor. The rest of the furniture stays: A big closet, a very nice, small leather sofa, an antique side table, the bed … Then I will take pictures so that travelers to Stockholm who want to rent a room can see what it really looks like I really like to meet new people so I think I will love this new...
